Based in Vancouver, Canada, I create beadwork on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. I acknowledge the rich history and ongoing presence of these Indigenous communities.
My Métis heritage is at the heart of everything I create. Beadwork became a path to connect with my ancestors and cultural roots. Each piece is a celebration of Métis artistry, storytelling, and being Métis in the world today.
The nature and landscapes of the West Coast deeply influence my designs. From the vibrant colours to the organic shapes found in nature, the West Coast infuses my work with a sense of place.
Traditional Métis beadwork patterns are a cornerstone of my creations. I breathe new life into these motifs, weaving together the past and present in each piece.
Maarsii for stopping by :)
